my eyes were flooded and overwhelmed by the most gorgeous couple and the spectacular day

Meet the precious little Amelia Rose and her very proud Mummy & Daddy, Fallon & Troy.

There is something so very special about first time babies…

The wonder in a parent’s eye, the knowing and understanding of those precious moments that no one could quite prepare you for.

Because no matter what anyone tells you, to try and prepare you.. you will never understand until you are graced with that new life.

The soaking up of each and every tiny movement and whimper – as though they are their first and last.

The hint of tiredness, the willing hands, the uncertainty of an unsettled baby, watching a husband look at his wife and child with pure pride and love.

Complete adoration.

These have been the moments I am blessed to witness.

Fallon and Troy are due to welcome their first baby any day.. so we spent a few moments capturing this beautiful & VERY active belly. <3

New beginnings..

 

Sometimes, in life, your heart starts to make decisions for you before you head has a chance to argue..

I have had MANY of these moments in the past few months and I have made the big decision to ‘wrap up’ my photography business.

Why? – Because of these two gorgeous little faces you see here!

Our weekends are precious.

Even when they are at school, the few hours they are with me are worth more than gold.

The hours I spend on the computer each night when I could be sitting with my husband.

Right here and now in my life they mean more to me than anything else.

 

I want to take more photos of MY kids, because quite honestly there are massive gaps in the record keeping department.

 

Does this mean that I am quitting forever? NO! I am following my heart for now.

Maybe a new journey will present itself..For now I want more than anything else in the world to just BE here for my beautiful boys.

To be a mother first.

To follow my heart.

Sure lots of people do both and do it brilliantly but for me, right now it is about being here for them.

 

love photography! I love photographing the beautiful moments in people’s lives.

I love witnessing the precious lives from behind my lens.

But what I love even more is being present in the moment and soaking up what sets my heart on fire.

Tim & Megan

A few of the very special moments last month at the wedding of Tim & Megan, over at Karriview Lodge in Margaret River.

Joy

My first ever sneak peek from a wedding which has

ever happened this quickly AND not been of the bride and groom… either way this was too special not to share.

Tim & Megan were married on Friday at Karriview Lodge in Margaret River. An intimate occasion, sorrounded by their gorgeous family and friends.

As I walked in to capture the girls getting ready, there was Nanna Joy…

Joy is Megan’s grandmother. Megan is blessed to have ALL of her grandparents alive and well, Tim has 3,  that is something so rare and special.

Joy was carefully and lovingly putting Megan’s bouquets together. I had to suck back the tears, it touched my heart to see how much love and attention she was putting into the flowers.

The warmth that existed in that room, as all of this was going on, was overwhelming – Megan, you are so lucky to have had your Nanna Joy there doing this.

I can’t help but tear up just looking at them – perhaps I miss having a grandmother.. perhaps I need to adopt one!

If I were to try and describe Aaron & Renae… so many words spring to mind.. yet as I look through their wedding day images, I see it and I feel it!

I see a love that runs deep, two beautiful, relaxed and carefree spririts and a massive feeling of warmth..
